MEDIAGE Nature Of Diamond

Diamond is a crystalline mineral which is made up of carbon, though diamond is the hardest mineral in nature, it's fragile because of its crisp. A diamond can be easily crushed with a hammer. Of all the materials, diamond conducts heat better than any other materials, including silver and copper. When heated, it will not expand and will burn at 700℃ to 800℃

MEDIAGE Evaluation Criteria
Cut
While cutting accurate calculation is the key to the light of a diamond. All MEDIAGE diamonds go through scientic and accurate calculation from exploring, digging to cutting and polishing. With the expertise of  20-year-experenced expert, a rough diaomand is turned into a brillant one.
Carat
Gem and diamond are measured in Carats. One carat is equal to 0.2 gram in weight. A one carat stone is equal in weight to one hundred smaller units called “points”. Carat is abbreviated to "ct". At MEDIAGE we use decimal system in measuring diamonds to make sure the accurate weitht of every diamond.
Colour
Diamond colors can be divided in to two series: white, light yellow and light brown belong to colorless while dark yellow, grey and pink belong to colored diamond.
Clarity
Clarity means clearness of diamonds. Diamonds are natural materials so there may be some flaws in them, At MEDIAGE every stone with flaws will be picked out to make sure those bought by customers are perfect.

MEDIAGE Diamond Setting
Prong Setting:This is the most common method of setting diamond. First make a "7"shape opening on top of the metal claw, then put diamond in and set it with a pair of pliers.
Pave Setting:make a hole in a small piece of metal and fix diamond in it. Then raise the metal with a shovel to fix the diamond.                     
Channel Setting:place diamond in a grooved metal wall and fix it with a pair of pliers.
Bezel Setting:make a round opening and put the diamond in it then wrap it with the metal.

MEDIAGE Grading Report
According to international routine, diamond grading reports are issued only to diamonds weighing over 0.30ct. In China, however every diamond weighing over 0.2ct is issued a report. At MEDIAGE, to protected customers' interests, every diamond weighing over ten points has a grading report.

1.Between wearings, a void excessive impact against hard surfaces, extreme temperature changes in case of damage. 
2.Remove the diamond jewelry before swim. chlorine may erode the metal.
3.Keep the jewelery from oil while doing houswork in case of having it polluted.
4.keep different jewelery separated to avoid friction.

To keep the brilliance of your jewelry, regular cleaning is needed. We encourage you to bring your MEDIAGE jewelry back to us for professional servicing. Our staff is knowledgeable and experienced in cleaning gemstones. Avoid the use of bleach.

Self Cleaning
Add a few drops of cleanser into the container, pour some warm water and put the jewelry in, clean it with a soft brush and then wash away the cleanser. Put the cleaned jewelry on a down-free towel and have it air dried dried.
